The Otter Group - Teaching People to Learn

I am psyched about Learning2.0 and this blog Teaching People to Learn.  Seeing organizations like the Otter Group embracing it and carrying the banner is incredibly exciting.

If you are one of those people that just rolls their eyes at the new buzz word for the latest theory or trend then try thinking of it as “Networked Learning” or collaborative learning or something like that.  I’ve been doing traditional training design for instructor led, CDs, and web for over ten years and I can tell you that whether you are the greatest ISDer in the world, or not, people REALLY start to learn AFTER enduring our little “training” sessions.

The number one learning tool today is Google (I have no stats on this, so feel free to comment).  More and more people are searching for what they need online and getting it.  Its about connecting with others and contributing to a community of like-minded thinkers.  Please forward the information from the Otter Group to all that you know and those you don’t.  It is the future of the learning industry and we need to be a part of its implementation within our organizations.
