Instructor Automation: Is this just the beginning?

A virtual piano instructor would be very cool. I'm not exactly sure how the app will work. It could be something as easy as following along a sidescrolling piece of sheet music. OR, perhaps there is the possibility of a live instructor "seeing" and "hearing" you play via HIS computer or iPad and giving you feedback from a distant location.

The possibilities are limitless and exciting. And not only from the learners perspective but think of economics from the teaching perspective. Finding customers is difficult when you are a music teacher because location is a critical part of the business. Either you go to them or they come to you. Its good extra income for many but difficult to make a living. But what if the entire connected world suddenly became your pool of potential students? That's a game changer. And its not just a game changer for piano teachers but for all teachers. Its just going to take some time to get there.
