The Future of Collaborative Learning is in 3D

I'm sitting in a demo of opencroquet right now.  A fabulous tool that I've been following for a while now, but it has just recently become available with the Croquet SDK 1.0 beta.

Qwaq is the commercialization of opencroquet.  What Redhat is to Linux, Qwaq is to opencroquet.

Opencroquet is introduced as the future of computing.  And this from a white paper...
"The educational promise of Croquet [1] is to enable
a persistent massively multi-user constructivist
learning space"
The entire system is Peer-2-peer and built on the Sqeak(SmallTalk) programming language.

Here's Croquet on wikipedia.

Here's what Scobleizer says about opencroquet.org.

Video demo from Accelerate Madison mediasite.

The future is definitely looking bright for learning.
