So, here's the story. I wanted to find a web app that would pull out all of the avatars of my Twitter followers and put them into a collage.jpg.
I sent out the question to my twitter peeps and this was the first reponse that I got back...
So, I clicked on the link from @reedracer to crowdedink.com. It worked great! Interface was easy and I very quickly had a cool collage of my twitter peeps. Oh, yea...the reason why crowdedink.com creates these images for you is so you can put the image on a product: mug, t-shirt, beer stein, etc. All was cool until I realized that I could not download the collage image for my own purposes. Huge bummer...
Very shortly after I was disappointed, I was pleasantly surprised by the following email...
So cool! Seriously! A beautiful first hand experience of a company responding to its customer's conversations on the new web. I LOVE IT! I've now been spreading the word about crowdedink AND ZAZZLE. The image was saved into my ZAZZLE account and I found all sorts of products to apply my image too. Check out these sweet shoes ;-) Oh yea, I'm now working on a cool design for zazzle skateboard for my son.

Glad to help Brent. BTW - I'm actually working on new products including tee-shirts and shoes. The image generated for the twitter mug is specific to the image dimensions for the mug - you don't get the highest quality product unless you custom-render an image taking the end-product dimensions into account. I'll probably have a black and white option for the shoes to make them...well, less tacky ;)
You know if you wait until after Christmas, we won't all have Santa Hats on our heads. :-)
