PSP - even more ultimate learning Machine?

The PSP is a very cool little device. Sure it was developed just for games but give me a break...if developers find a new market for the tool and address it, why is that bad? Here is a classic quote from an old school corporate executive...

"It is not...what the device was designed for," said Patrick Seybold, a
spokesman for Sony Computer Entertainment America.

It's a great portable device for delivering media which is what we need to do as eLearning developers.

2 years ago at the Serious Games Conference prior to the release of LeapFrog's device the Leapster there were many requests that 3rd party developers be allowed access to the code...no go.

Is there a good portable media delivery tool that eLearning professionals have access too? Maybe PDAs could have filled that niche, but for some reason that didn't happen.
